Strawberry Kiwi Wire Crochet Necklace

Wire Crochet Jewelry is one of those styles of jewelry that looks absolutely stunning in person, yet is very difficult to capture in a photo.  The reason being, the stitches are so detailed that a photo looks like a whole bunch of squiggly lines rather than the intricate wirework that the beaded crochet jewelry really is.

In this piece, I used fine guage magenta wire with Swarovski crystals, small tumbled sea glass beads and some AMAZING Lampwork glass beads.  The lampwork glass beads were created by hand from an artist friend Juli of Juls Beads.  I just love her work and the colors she blends to make amazing beads.  So the lampwork beads in this piece were the inspiration… strawberry kiwi snow cones in summer… or the tropical colors of hibiscus flowers and their leaves on my dreamy fantasy island.  The colors are striking!

I crocheted a multi-strand necklace to act as a back drop to the strand of lampwork beads.  The intricate wire crochet necklace is one of a kind and cannot be duplicated.  Each piece is it’s own work of art.  If you like the look of wire crochet, or would like to see more pictures of this piece, click here to view a full listing.  It’s really beautiful the way it captures the light!

If this is the first time you’ve seen wire crochet jewelry, I encourage you to explore it further.  Wire crochet (also called beaded crochet) allows you to express a color scheme or style that is totally unique and flexible!  It is really beautiful, even more stunning in person!  Take a peek!

Red White & Blue Cuff Bracelet

The wire crochet jewelry I design is all handcrafted, one piece at a time.  Each piece is unique and one of a kind making my wire crochet jewelry a great idea to give as a gift – or to treat yourself.

Much of the wire crochet bracelets and necklaces I make are custom ordered, so I wanted to give you an idea of different styles, colors and designs that I’ve created.

If you see a piece you like, and would like me to design a similar piece using your color preferences for bead choices and wire colors, I’d be happy to make you a very special piece of wire crochet jewelry too!

Crocheting Copper Wire Jewelry

Copper Wire Jewelry Wire Crochet Bracelet

Copper Wire Crochet Bracelet

Copper Wire Jewelry is becoming more popular.  People are requesting copper because of it’s beautiful shine, it’s warm color and in many cases because they love the way it patinas.

In designing with copper, I love the shiny, rosey color of the metal as it is when you get it brand new.  And for my customers, I know they don’t want their copper wire jewelry to leave any marks on their skin or clothing because of aging.  So I purchase all non-tarnish copper to design my wire crochet jewelry.

Once I’ve gotten my fine gauge, non-tarnish copper wire, I’m ready to choose the beads to embellish each piece of jewelry I design.  In this particular piece I selected a mix that reminded me of summer – aqua blue to think of playing in a beautiful pool, lime green just shouts flowers, grass, lime sherbet :) and finally a great shade of tan because that speaks of sand between my toes.

Other colors that blend really well with copper are shades of purple, many shades of green, hues of blue and for an extremely classy look, black and copper wire crochet jewelry is really stunning.

So whether you are looking for something new and trendy, or you like one of a kind jewelry, copper wire jewelry might be the perfect solution.  Using wire crochet is just one of many techniques I love when working with copper!  If you have questions about wire crochet jewelry, beaded crochet jewelry or copper wire jewelry, I’m always happy to answer them, just send me an e-mail using the contact form above.
